Bio
I have always been a writer. Something just fascinates me when it comes to creating stories. It amazes me when my mind starts working, making up characters, and I can't rest until I am happy with the result. It is tiring and exhausting really, but also very rewarding.
Whenever I have written anything in the past, it was more for myself than for anyone else. I just enjoyed creating romantic settings in my head, and characters I could relate to and I wanted to relate to. I have always been a dreamer and whenever I saw a cute, funny, romantic movie I would imagine myself in it somehow, just to escape reality for while and take off into my own little world. And even though I am hundreds of years older now than I used to be during my teenage years, I am still a dreamer and I am still escaping into a world of my imagination.
I actually have two major interests. Acting and Writing. After being diagnosed with depression a few years ago, I decided to go for it and fulfill my dream of becoming an actress. It was a fun experience for sure. Taking acting classes, learning things about resumes, auditions and so on, was something I hadn't done before and it helped me to get out there and do something I had always dreamed about doing. I worked hard and had a blast doing it. I was completely focused on that dream and didn't want to do anything else. With time I realized though, that this wasn't as cool as I thought it would be. Hollywood wasn't just waiting for me to appear, and it became clearer and clearer to me that not only would I have to be a skinny stick to be successful, I also would have to drop my accent and most likely would have to be willing to ignore my standards and do things I didn't want to do. That wasn't going to happen. I don't regret any of the experiences I had though. It made me to the person I am today, but I have put it on my back burner for now focusing on other things, like my education and my writing.
Heavenly Bodyguards - Trainee in action was written because my husband encouraged me to do so. We were on a date and all of a sudden he said to me: "Why don't you start writing a book? A little extra money sure won't hurt us." I know he was joking, but once you put something like that into my head, an idea soon becomes reality.
Sure enough, I knew I didn't want to write anything about vampire's or wizards, since other author's had written plenty about those subjects, and so soon a new thought came to my mind, something I just couldn't get out of my head. I wanted to write a fictional story about guardian angels. Something that could be very well true, something that would make my readers sad, laugh and think and voila the Heavenly Bodyguards series was born.
Former Bio
I was born and raised in Germany and lived there my whole life until I served a mission in Scotland for my church. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints and actually met my husband because of our missions. A mutual friend was married right after I returned home from my mission and so we met at her wedding. It was definitely meant to be since he is from Utah and I am from Germany. God wanted us to meet and we are both sure of it.
Based in San Diego CA, my husband and I have a beautiful little home, 2 cute boys, an adorable yorkie, 1 parakeet, and a very cute fish. I love living in CA and definitely enjoy the weather. I do miss the seasons though, but luckily every few years we can escape and visit my family in Germany. My husband's family is in Utah still and so we get to enjoy cold winter weather during Thanksgiving or Christmas.
I am currently working on getting a BA in General Studies and want to major in Family and Marriage Studies.
